World Financial Building

This project involved creating a detailed replica of Brookfield Place, located in downtown Manhattan, for Miniature World. The model stands an impressive 6 feet tall, capturing the grandeur of this iconic building.

To bring the structure to life, I used acrylic plastic, which allows for both clarity and durability while showcasing the building’s architectural features. The design includes intricate details that reflect the original façade, ensuring that viewers can appreciate the nuances of the building’s design.

Incorporating LED lighting adds another layer of realism, illuminating the model in a way that highlights its contours and enhances its overall appearance. Additionally, the lobby features animation, providing a dynamic element that simulates the bustling activity typical of such a prominent financial hub.

This replica not only serves as a stunning visual piece but also offers an engaging experience for visitors, blending artistry with modern technology in a celebration of one of New York City’s architectural landmarks.

Taksim Trolley

This project involved designing a detailed HO scale model of the Taksim Trolley, a beloved symbol of Istanbul, for Miniature World. Utilizing Fusion 360 for the design, I created a multi-part 3D model that captures the trolley’s unique features and charm.

The 3D printing process allowed for precise detailing, ensuring that the model reflects the trolley’s iconic design. Each part was crafted to fit seamlessly onto an existing HO switcher engine, making it easy to integrate into existing model train setups.

In addition to the structural components, the model includes LED lighting to mimic the trolley’s illumination, enhancing its realism. Detailed decals were also applied to capture the authentic look of the Taksim Trolley, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the finished piece.

This model not only celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Istanbul but also showcases the blend of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship in the world of model building.

Sanctum Sanctorium

This project involved the creation of an HO scale model of the iconic mansion at 221B Bleaker Street, known as the Sanctum Sanctorum, for Miniature World. Utilizing Fusion 360 for the design, I meticulously crafted each component to ensure accuracy and detail that reflect the distinctive architecture of this fictional residence.

The model was constructed using a combination of 3D printed parts and laser-cut acrylic, allowing for both intricate detailing and structural integrity. The 3D printing process enabled the creation of complex shapes and features, while the laser-cut acrylic provided clean edges and a polished finish that enhances the overall appearance.

The Sanctum Sanctorum is designed to be visually striking, capturing the essence of its mysterious and magical character. Each element, from the windows to the distinctive roofline, has been carefully crafted to ensure authenticity.
