This hope chest is crafted from black walnut, featuring hidden interlocking mortise and tenon joints for a strong and clean construction. The chest also includes floating panels made from birdseye maple, adding a subtle contrast and unique character to the design.

Direst Go-Kart Trike
This project centers around the creation of a go-kart for the annual Jimmy Diresta Go-Karting event, held every July in East Durham, NY. Inspired by the iconic 70s Green Machine, I set out to design an electric trike that captures the playful spirit of that era while incorporating modern elements.
Using Fusion 360 for the design process, I focused on creating a functional and fun vehicle that stands out on the track. The chassis is built from fabricated tube steel, providing a sturdy foundation for the trike and ensuring durability during use. To keep the build accessible, I utilized off-the-shelf parts, making the project both practical and cost-effective.
As of now, the go-kart remains a work in progress, with ongoing adjustments and enhancements to improve performance and aesthetics. It’s an exciting venture that combines creativity, engineering, and a love for nostalgic designs, and I look forward to seeing it come together for next year’s event. Stanley Cup
This project involved a special commission from renowned chocolatier Jacques Torres to create a life-sized replica of the Stanley Cup. The process began with sculpting the cup in oil clay, allowing for precise detailing and a faithful representation of the iconic trophy.
Once the clay sculpture was complete, silicone molds were created to capture every nuance of the design. These molds were then used to cast the sculpture in plaster, producing master models that served as the foundation for further fabrication.
From the plaster masters, vacuum-formed molds were developed, enabling Jacques to use them for his final casting process. The goal was to create a stunning chocolate replica of the Stanley Cup, showcasing both the artistry of the sculpture and the culinary skill of chocolate-making.
This collaboration highlights the intersection of craftsmanship and creativity, resulting in a unique piece that celebrates both the sport of hockey and the art of chocolate
