Sculpture Portfolio: Bronze Stallion

Stallion

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches for the Battle of Anghiari, this striking stallion sculpture captures the power and grace of the horse in motion. Measuring approximately 17 inches by 16 inches by 6 inches, the piece showcases meticulous attention to detail, reflecting the dynamic energy that da Vinci envisioned in his work.

The stallion was initially sculpted in oil clay, allowing for rich textures and nuanced features. Once the design was perfected, it was cast in wax and sent to the foundry for the final bronze finishing. The result is a stunning sculpture that embodies both artistic heritage and craftsmanship.

Collectors can choose between a classic bronze finish or a sleek black resin version, each bringing its own unique aesthetic to the piece. This stallion serves as a tribute not only to da Vinci’s genius but also to the timeless bond between art and history.Additional pics (Stallion_Bronze_Final_2)

Sculpture Portfolio: Mother and Baby Bear

Mother Love

This beautifully crafted wood carving, titled “Mother Love,” features a mother grizzly bear tenderly cradling her baby. Measuring approximately 7 inches by 5 inches by 4 inches, the piece showcases the intricate details and emotional connection between the two figures.

The mother bear is carved from rich black walnut heartwood, known for its deep, warm tones and striking grain patterns. This choice of wood not only highlights the bear’s strength and majesty but also adds a touch of elegance to the piece. In contrast, the baby bear is sculpted from the adjoining sapwood, allowing for a seamless transition in coloration that mimics the natural variations found in the wild.

The combination of these two types of wood enhances the overall aesthetic, creating a harmonious balance that reflects the nurturing bond between mother and child. This carving serves as a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of nature and the love that exists within it, making it a meaningful addition to any collection.

Nacho

Introducing “Nacho,” a heartfelt portrait of a client’s beloved chihuahua. This charming bust measures approximately 7 inches by 6 inches by 4 inches, capturing the unique essence of this small but spirited companion.

Sculpted with meticulous attention to detail in oil clay, Nacho’s likeness and personality were thoughtfully rendered based on photos provided by the client. Every feature, from the expressive eyes to the distinct ear shape, was crafted to reflect the dog’s individual character and charm.

After the initial sculpting, the bust was cast in high-quality resin, allowing for durability and a refined finish. To enhance its aesthetic appeal, it was given a faux bronze painted finish that beautifully mimics the warm, rich tones of traditional bronze sculptures. This finish not only adds an elegant touch but also highlights the intricacies of the sculpture, making it a striking piece for any home.

“Nacho” serves as a lasting tribute to the bond shared between the humans and their cherished pets, celebrating the joy and love that they bring into our lives.
